Livia Mas Llorens

In a vibrant fusion of artistry and fashion, the collaboration between Annother Archive women's wear brand, artist Livia Mas Llorens, and John Britton offers a unique perspective on personal expression. This partnership captures the essence of individuality, intertwining the intricate designs of Annother Archive with Livia's artistic vision, all through the lens of my photography.

As we delve into this collaborative project, we'll explore how each piece from Annother Archive's collection tells a story, seamlessly merging textile craftsmanship with Livia's artistic flair. My role is to visually narrate this journey, framing the garments in evocative settings that enhance their beauty and conceptual depth.

Photographed in the gallery of the latest exhibition of the artist, the scene exudes a blend of creativity and style. Attendees move gracefully through the space, engaged in discussions about the artwork that lines the walls, each piece a distinct expression of the artist's vision.

Among them stands a figure adorned in clothing from Annother Archive, an innovative fashion line that incorporates printed fabric derived from the artist's work. The garments showcase an intricate interplay of colors and patterns, echoing the themes present in the artwork surrounding them. The fusion of art and fashion not only highlights the versatility of the artist's creations but also enhances the immersive experience of the exhibition.

This unique collaboration invites attendees to reflect on the relationship between visual art and wearable design, celebrating how one can influence and inspire the other. As visitors admire the pieces on display, they also appreciate the thoughtful integration of art into everyday life, making each moment in the gallery a testament to the creativity that both the artist and the designer bring to the conversation.

Each product embodies a blend of artistry and functionality, reflecting Dean's commitment to pushing the boundaries of contemporary design.

Effective photography, I focused on the materials and textures that characterize these creations. Using artificial light to highlight the products’ unique features, ensuring that shadows do not detract from their elegance. Here the photographs showcase different aspects of the designs, capturing both the overall form and the intricate details.

Close-up shots emphasize the craftsmanship and high-quality materials, while other photographs provided context within the studio environment. The clean background kept the focus on the products, allowing their shapes and colors to stand out.

Elements represented the design philosophy of Future Factories, such as industrial textures or artistic compositions, to create a narrative around the products. This approach informed viewers not just about the items themselves, but about the innovative mindset behind them.

Each photograph reflected the essence of Lionel Dean's vision at Future Factories. This resulted in a collection of images that not only document the latest offerings but also resonated with the brand's core principles.

Photographing the new products from One17Design architects.

We've been with the team from The Dyehouse, a sister company to One17design, who design and manufacture some very impressive furniture. Initially the furniture was inspired by complimenting the builds they had completed and now they are rolling out the range to anyone wishing to buy. This will be done through their website and through printed advertising in the very best interiors magazines in the UK. We were commissioned to photograph the collection over four days in a mill which is being lovingly restored.

Manufacturing of hats in the Lawrence & Foster factory in West Yorkshire

Lawrence hats embody a timeless elegance and sophisticated style, effortlessly blending classic design with contemporary fashion sensibilities. Crafted from high-quality materials, they are designed to offer both comfort and durability. The distinctive features of Lawrence hats include meticulous stitching and a variety of colors and styles that cater to diverse tastes. Whether for formal events or casual outings, a Lawrence hat adds a refined touch to any ensemble, making it a versatile accessory for those who appreciate quality craftsmanship and stylish aesthetics.

British manufacturing is on the up. I've been in West Yorkshire, very close to the Burberry factory at Lawrence & Foster, who produce traditional tweed hats for stores across the world. Most of the fabric is sourced from Scotland and then all the manufacturing is done at their Yorkshire base. I visited them yesterday to capture product photographs of each style of hat and to capture the production and factory, which will be used on their new website.

Portrait sittings for a talented group of architects

In our opinion, with the exception of music, architecture has the most profound effect on the human mind and is the most powerful art form out there. Within the industry, there are good and bad architects, and everything in-between. It was my pleasure therefore to photograph one of the talented architects that now heads a team of over twenty. Mark Lee has built his practice so they can now design not only the structure but also design and fit the interior, exterior and supply the furniture also. All part of the business he has created. For want of a better phrase...a one stop shop.
