Trash the Dress

A Trash the Dress session is a bold, freeing way to extend your wedding story beyond the formal day. After the ceremony and reception have ended, we return to a private location—often a wild cove, a sun-drenched beach, a rugged cliff or a quiet finca garden in Spain—so you can move without the pressure of guests or schedules. The result is a set of intimate, cinematic images that contrast the delicate beauty of the gown with raw natural elements: salt spray, sand, water, wind and golden light. These photographs feel alive and unscripted, capturing motion, emotion and unexpected textures that simply don’t exist in posed portraits.

In the Balearic Islands, the backdrop does half the work. Mallorca’s limestone coves and pine-lined bays give dramatic silhouettes; Menorca’s tranquil beaches and marshes offer soft, pastel palettes; Ibiza’s hidden cliffs and crystalline waters provide high-contrast, editorial looks. We choose locations that complement your dress and mood—whether you want dramatic waves and saturated color, or a softer, ethereal feel among olive groves and old stone walls. The session is relaxed and collaborative: you can splash, walk into the surf, lie on wet sand, or twirl through coastal grasses. I guide the movement but leave room for spontaneous moments that reveal personality and connection.

Practicalities are simple. We schedule the shoot after the wedding day to keep the main celebration uninterrupted, and we plan around weather and light—sunrise and sunset are especially flattering. Bring a change of clothes, a towel, and a sense of adventure; I’ll bring experience and the right kit to protect gear while shooting in unpredictable conditions. Trash the Dress sessions produce striking, often cinematic images that become a distinct chapter in your wedding album: a memory of wild joy, freedom, and the way your love looks when nothing else matters but the moment.
